Twitter Strikes Again with US Air Hudson Crash

Twitter has yet again proved itself to be the place to turn for the latest news after a plane crashed 3 minutes into it’s flight into the Hudson river. Current reports state that everyone survived and the cause of the crash was a flock of birds taking out two of the engines.

What is interesting to us on the tech side of things is that the first images of this incident were from @jkrums an entrepreneur from Florida and not a news broadcaster. The incredible power of social media meant that within minutes this man on his way home from work could snap a picture on his iPhone and instantly share it with the world.
